Raquel Welch's Transformations Collection adds two new clip-in toppers for women with thinning hair: True Chameleon 10", a featherweight part-line topper, and Soft Illusion 8", a crown topper for broader coverage. Both are available at MyHairMail from November 1, 2026, in 38 Raquel Welch shades.
The two toppers solve different problems. True Chameleon adds coverage right along the part, where thinning often shows first. Soft Illusion covers more of the top and crown. Here's how to tell which one is right for you.
True Chameleon 10": Part-Line Coverage at 0.95 oz
True Chameleon is small, hand-tied and remarkably light at just 0.95 oz. Its 5" x 2 7/8" monofilament base gives a natural, scalp-like look along the part, and a scalloped lace front lets you pull a little of your own hair through at the hairline for a seamless blend. Three 1" pressure-sensitive clips hold it in place.
The lengths are soft and easy to wear: a 6.5" fringe, 9.75" at the crown and sides, and 9.25" at the back. Wear it parted into curtain bangs or swept to the side. The synthetic fiber is heat styleable, so you can shape it to match your own texture, and it can be custom trimmed by a stylist. It's ideal if your own hair is mid-length.

Soft Illusion 8": Broader Crown Coverage
Soft Illusion is built for thinning across the top and crown. Its full 7 3/4" x 9 1/4" monofilament top covers far more ground than a part-line topper, and it gives you the freedom to part it where you like. A folded, flat monofilament front lies close at the hairline, and a polyurethane front rim accepts tape if you'd like extra security. Structured wefted sides hug the head for a natural shape without bulk, and five 1 1/4" pressure-sensitive clips keep it secure.
It's finished with a long, side-swept fringe (7.5"), with 8.5" at the crown, 7" at the sides and 8.25" at the back, so it blends easily with shorter or layered mid-length hair. It weighs 2.4 oz.

Caring for Your Topper
Wash your topper in cool water with a shampoo and conditioner made for synthetic fiber. Blot gently with a towel, never rub or twist, and let it air dry on a stand or form. Check the clips from time to time and clear away any hair or product buildup. How do the clips attach?
